Students drive their educational experience through an Individual Plan of Study, a robust and collaborative tool within the Advisory Program which empowers students to research college and career options in order to better tailor their high school coursework to match their post-secondary goals. Shawnee Mission offers groundbreaking programs to support these individualized plans, including SMSD Signature Programs, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, College Now options, and Project Lead the Way (PLTW).
