Principal/Mission
Hello! My name is Dr. Jake Bauer and I am the Principal of Career and Technical Education in the Shawnee Mission School District. I am excited to be the leader of this school. Our school is unique. Students enrolled into our school are taking classes in pathways that are connected to their interest or their future career goals. Our programs are nationally award winning and recognized for their excellence and preparation of their students. We are proud of the work of our students and our staff.
Our school’s vision is “Every Student, Every Pathway, Every Future!” This means that we focus on every student that walks through the door. Our teachers have high expectations and are relentless in helping each student reach their goals. We focus not only on the skills that students learn in their curriculum, but the skills outlined in the SMSD Portrait of a Graduate.
